MA Counter Stool - Light Oak & Arena Leather

In Japan the concept of Ma is a philosophical idea about the space between things, a pause necessary in all aspects of life. The stool encourages pause and a calm moment of reflection.
The design is about enhancing the shapes and volume of the negative space, framed in a simple
wooden structure. The timeless form meets honest geometric details exposed by contrasting wood
grain. The generous curved seat is available with upholstery to match the mood of any interior.

Full aniline leather is made from skins or hides that are of a highest quality. At the same time, sanding is not used for processing this leather therefore the leather retains its natural look. Protective treatments or coatings are not applied to aniline leather. For that reason, it still retains its natural feel, softness and breathability. Variations in the hide colour may occur and markings may be visible, this is considered a natural characteristic of this leather and is not a fault. With the passage of time, aniline leather will look better and a patina will develop with usage.
